Famoso Dragstrip transitions to new leadership to continue to add to legacy
Famoso Dragstrip will transition to new leadership in 2025, as Tim Huddleston will take over the daily operation of the facility from longtime operator Blake Bowser, who will continue to lead the charge for the March Meet and the California Hot Rod Reunion.

With two additional events on the season, the ÎçҹѰ»¨ has announced its 11-race schedule for the 2025 ÎçҹѰ»¨ Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series, which will also include a Wally Parks Nostalgia Nationals event and the California Hot Rod Reunion.

The popular Legends Nitro Series will return in 2025 with a 10-race schedule spanning events in the six-race ÎçҹѰ»¨ Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series and four ÎçҹѰ»¨ Mission Foods Drag Racing Series events, including the prestigious Cornwell Quality Tools ÎçҹѰ»¨ U.S. Nationals.

About the Series
To help preserve ÎçҹѰ»¨â€™s rich history and tradition while capitalizing on the success of nostalgia drag racing competition, ÎçҹѰ»¨ formed the ÎçҹѰ»¨ Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series in 2009 that today crowns year-end points champions in 13 categories.
The series benefits everyone, from the racers and fans to The Wally Parks ÎçҹѰ»¨ Motorsports Museum, and provides a great opportunity to preserve ÎçҹѰ»¨â€™s rich heritage through nostalgia drag racing competition. The ÎçҹѰ»¨ Hot Rod Heritage Racing Series year-end points champions in each of the 13 classes will receive a gold Wally trophy; Champion’s jacket and hat; and a cash award.
The series’ 13 featured classes include: Nostalgia Top Fuel Dragster; Nostalgia Funny Car; Group 1 (A/Fuel, Jr. Fuel and 7.0 Pro) and Group 2 (Nostalgia Eliminator I, II and III; A, B, C and D/Gas and Hot Rod). The 7.0 Pro class is an index class with breakout rules – intended for front engine dragsters, center-steer Altereds and pre-1980 Nostalgia Funny Cars.
